Professional Tour Guide
Born and raised in the historic city of Lalibela, I grew up surrounded by ancient churches and breathtaking landscapes. My passion for sharing Ethiopia's rich heritage led me to become a licensed tour guide over 8 years ago.
I believe that travel is not just about seeing places—it's about creating meaningful connections. Every tour I lead is designed to provide authentic experiences, from sharing coffee ceremonies with local families to discovering hidden viewpoints that most tourists miss.
Let me show you the Ethiopia I know and love—where every road tells a story, and every encounter becomes a cherished memory.

Immerse yourself in authentic traditions that have endured for thousands of years,
connecting with communities who preserve their ancestral ways.
Ancient customs preserved for millennia
The Omo Valley is home to over 16 distinct ethnic groups, each with unique traditions, languages, and social structures that have remained unchanged for centuries. From the Hamer pastoralists to the Mursi agro-pastoralists, these communities maintain their ancestral ways of life.
Each tribe has its own governance systems, age-set structures, and initiation rites. The Hamer have a complex age-grade system where young men must jump over cattle to become adults. The Konso have fortified hilltop villages led by councils of elders. The Ari practice sophisticated irrigation agriculture. These traditions are not museum pieces but living, breathing parts of daily life.

Mr. Abel is easily accessible via WhatsApp and really considered our wishes. He also advises and plans the day accordingly. The tour guide picked us up at the hotel and we visited the highlights of the city center including Goha Hotel to admire the impressive view over the entire city of Gondar. We enjoyed a lunch in a local restaurant and concluded our tour with a visit of Fasil Ghebbi Fortress where we got a coffee enjoying the most impressive view one can think of. An unforgettable day!
